Market report 4Q21
December 31, 2021
In the beginning of the year, Norway had an increase in the number of covid-cases and entered the third wave. However, the vaccination process had also begun. As more people got vaccinated, in combination with strict regulations in travel and social events, Norway was able to open more of its borders and lift other restrictions in time for summer. On September 25th Norway lifted most of its restrictions and travel continued to increase until the new Omicron-variant of the virus was discovered, and Norway once again closed down. In retrospect, the new variant is less likely to cause severe illness, and Norway removed its restrictions once again on February 12th 2022.
